A is for Appalachia! The Alphabet Book of Appalachian Heritage
The Illustrator

I am very honored that Pat Banks agreed to illustrate A is for Appalachia. Everywhere I go, every school I visit… everyone comments on how absolutely beautiful the illustrations are in A is for Appalachia. I agree. Pat is a wonderful talent and she visits schools to share that talent with children. I wrote two grants for Pat to visit the school where I taught and the students adored her, enjoyed their experience with her, and they learned a great deal about working in watercolor. A very nice combination, I think.
